Bye bye Aperol: Lillet orange spritz is the new summer drink

In summer, we can hardly pass a full outdoor terrace without seeing at least a few orange-red cocktail glasses – Aperol Spritz is simply the aperitif par excellence in good weather.

But now we have a new favorite that makes us feel like we’re on vacation and is at least as refreshing and tangy as the well-known Aperol: Lillet Orange Spritz. Fresh orange juice, a splash of lemon and Lillet Blanc make a welcome change to the classic. Have you tried it yet? Here’s the recipe.

Lillet orange spritz: recipe for the summer aperitif

It goes without saying that Lillet goes into a Lillet orange spritz. However, if you don’t have Lillet Blanc to hand or can’t find it in the store, you can also use an alternative: for example, a sweet vermouth or another white wine-based aperitif. We have linked one for you below.

You need these ingredients for 1 glass:

And the spritz is so easy to mix:

1. fill a glass with ice cubes.

2. wash the orange and lemon in hot water and cut in half. Squeeze one half of the orange over the ice cubes. Add a squeeze of lemon juice. Cut the other halves into slices and add a few to the glass.

3. now pour in Lillet Blanc and top up the drink with Prosecco and mineral water. Stir and the Lillet Orange Spritz is ready.
