Haven’t cleaned for a long time? The oven can be cleaned quickly using home remedies.
When cleaning the kitchen, it is not necessary to use aggressive cleaning agents. Common household cleaners are often sufficient to remove dirt – this also applies to the oven.
It is not necessary to use aggressive cleaning agents to clean the oven. Appliances can be easily cleaned using simple home remedies. Baking soda, among other things, is particularly effective as it can remove even tough dirt.
1.To do this, first remove all trays and racks from the oven. This will make it easier to apply the baking soda to the areas to be cleaned.
2. Then mix a sachet of baking soda (about 16-17g) with four tablespoons of water. Make sure that the consistency remains creamy and does not become too runny – then the application will be as effective as possible.
3. Then apply the paste to the soiled areas and let the leavening agent work for about 60 minutes. If your oven is very dirty, we recommend letting the home remedy work for a few hours.
4. Finally, wipe the baking soda off the dirty areas with a damp sponge.
Cleaning the oven: how to avoid contamination
- When baking or cooking in the oven, always use baking paper and sufficiently large and tall baking moulds. This will prevent food residue from getting on the walls or dripping onto the bottom of the oven.
- Always wipe off food residue and grease stains immediately after using the oven. This means that the residue can’t burn any further and it becomes even harder to remove later.
- If badly burnt stains cannot be removed even with a leavening agent, in some cases it is advisable to use a special oven cleaner. However, these are often harmful to the environment and should therefore only be used occasionally.
