A woman has advised people not to sleep with the air conditioner on after an unpleasant experience she had.
A 24-year-old British woman’s holiday in Turkey took a bit of a turn for the worse when she ended up in the hospital. The poor thing had been sleeping with the air conditioning on and woke up feeling pretty unwell.
In particular, she had a sore throat and faintness, and her tonsils were swollen. She went to the hospital with her mother where she was given an intravenous injection. She stayed in the hospital for about 5 hours.
The doctors diagnosed her with tonsillitis which had been caused by the air conditioner in the room where she was staying. “I was really shaking. I couldn’t eat or drink. I thought I had covidagain . My temperature was bad and my body was aching,” she said.
“I went to the hospital and they said I had a severe case of tonsillitis. They probably told me it was probably caused by the air conditioner. It was quite brutal what I got in the last few days of my holiday,” he continued.
He then explained that most likely the hotel had not done proper maintenance on the air conditioner. “They hadn’t maintained it properly. They say it might have been putting out moldy air. The doctor told me that it was probably all caused by the air conditioner.” He added: “If we hadn’t slept with the air conditioner on everything would have been fine.”
