If your synthetic bedding is shrinking and accumulating pills, don’t fret! It’s likely that you’re just not washing it correctly. Here’s how to wash your synthetic bedding so it lasts longer.

How to Wash Synthetic Bedding

To prevent synthetic materials from shrinking and getting covered in pills, you should wash them at a temperature no higher than 40 degrees Celsius.

This also applies to bed linens. Washing at 40 degrees is sufficient for a thorough clean.

Each fabric has its own texture. Impurities can be washed away from thin and delicate fabrics even at low temperatures.

Only white cotton and linen fabrics can be washed at high temperatures.

However, even these fabrics, when dealing with minor stains, are recommended to be washed at no more than 60 degrees Celsius. This way, the linens will last longer.

By following these guidelines, you can ensure that your synthetic bedding stays in great condition and avoids the common problems of shrinking and pilling.
