Guess what? You already have the perfect ingredient in your kitchen to get rid of that annoying limescale in your toilet! No more expensive and unnecessary solutions. This simple method is the answer to your prayers!

What to put in the toilet bowl to get rid of limescale

Cleaning the bathroom can be a real chore for many people. Especially because no matter how much you clean and how many solutions you use, your sink faucet or shower always gets stains.

Water stains and limescale deposits can, over time, damage the material your bathroom items are made of. This makes them look even dirtier than they really are.

However, before you spend your money on substances that promise to work wonders, try a classic method. You’ll need an ingredient that’s in every kitchen and costs just a few lei.

It’s food-grade vinegar, which makes it quick and easy to get rid of limescale on kitchen utensils, appliances, including washing machines, taps, showerheads and more.

How to do it

So, to get rid of limescale deposits on your toilet, follow a few simple steps. Turn off the tank at the faucet, then empty it and remove all traces of water.

With a cloth, plug the drain, but not too deep to allow the volume of vinegar in the bowl to increase. Fill with the liquid beyond the trace left by the limescale and leave overnight or for a few hours.

Using a glove, remove the cloth you clogged the drain with and scrub the limescale well. Reopen the tap that fills the tank and rinse several times.

You can also use vinegar to maintain your washing machine. Use 50-100 milliliters of vinegar per wash and put it in the conditioner compartment. This way, limescale will not build up.
