Ubisoft revealed last November that it was working on an enhanced version of Beyond Good & Evil, which we should see details of sometime this year. More than six months of silence was finally broken late last week, when the French publisher released a premiere trailer, a release date, and other details.
First and foremost, it’s worth noting that the enhanced version, titled Beyond Good & Evil – 20th Anniversary Edition, will be released tomorrow, June 25, on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, Ubisoft Connect) and PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Nitendo Swtich. Although the game will only be available digitally for now, Ubisoft, in partnership with publisher Limited Run Games, is also planning to release a physical edition that will be available for pre-order starting July 12.
Compared to the original 2003 version of the game, the remaster will boast up to 4K resolution or 60 FPS support, which will be complemented by improved sounds, graphics and controls. Other new features will include autosave, the ability to skip cutscenes, and cross-platform cross-save support.
