A delicious recipe for a cheese wreath with spring onions:

What we’ll need:

Dough:

  • 250 g of plain flour
  • 250 ml warm milk
  • 7 g of yeast
  • 5 g sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 20 g spring onions
  • pinch of salt
  • 5 dried garlic
  • 20 g soft butter

Filling:

  • 300 g mozzarella
  • a pinch of salt, pepper
  • 20 g dill
  • 1 onion
  • 1 egg
  • oil for frying
  • egg for spreading

How to proceed:

1. Start by mixing the milk, sugar, yeast.

2. Add the eggs, salt and garlic. Mix thoroughly.

3. Next, add the spring onions and flour.

4. Make a smooth dough and let it rise under a towel for 30 minutes.

5. Once the dough has risen, roll it out on a floured rolling pin.

6. Continue with the filling. Simply mix all the ingredients mentioned above. The onions must be fried in the pan.

7. Then spread the filling evenly over the rolled out dough.

8. Roll up.

9. In the next step, cut the dough lengthwise down the middle.

10. Next, braid the dough to create a beautiful wreath like this:

11. Place it carefully in the prepared baking tin, which has been greased with butter, and let it rest under a tea towel for 20 minutes.

12. Finally, brush with butter and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

13. Bake at 180 degrees for about 25 minutes and you’re done!
