When you run out of mopping fluid, we have a homemade cleaner that disinfects, removes tough stains, and best of all? It will make your floor smell freshly mopped for days.
Materials Needed
- 10 tablespoons of vinegar
- 1 tablespoon of your favorite bubble bath (if it has a lot of grease, use dish soap instead)
- 1 tablespoon hand sanitizer
- Drops of your favorite essential oils (I suggest depending on the scent of the bubble bath to use the appropriate ones for longer lasting)
- Bucket of warm to hot water (skip the hot for the fumes if you are using sanitizer)
How to Fix It In the mop bucket, add all of the above ingredients together and start mopping.
The combination of the hot water with all the above ingredients will make your floor pentacle clean, and I mean it. The essential oils will smell so much in your home with lasting fragrance. I happened to mop with this mixture before I left on vacation and as soon as I came back and opened the house, it smelled fresh.
My favorite scents for summer are coconut, which I use, and monoi, while for winter I use cedar and lavender.
Just a Heads-Up: Don’t overdo it with essential oils if you have children in the house as they smell strong.
With this simple homemade cleaner, you can keep your floors spotless and smelling great for days, all while using ingredients you likely already have at home. Enjoy a fresh and clean living space with minimal effort and maximum effect!
