It’s amazing how many uses there are for a simple plastic bottle. Many savvy housewives are discovering new ways to repurpose these containers instead of throwing them away. Thanks to their creativity, plastic bottles are becoming surprisingly functional around the house.
First of all, you can make handy dispensers from plastic bottles . All you need to do is cut the bottom of the bottle, turn it upside down and push the neck into the remaining part. Then pour or pour in the dispenser – from washing powder to olive oil. Adjust the volume by gluing a measuring line inside the bottle.
Second, a plastic bottle is an excellent funnel-shaped container for trash during cleaning. You can do this by cutting the top corner of the bottle. To make it easier for debris to fall out, make a small cut on the edge of the neck.
Thirdly, the bottle can serve as a handy container for storing vegetables and fruit. For example, you can cut lemons or limes into slices and place them in the cut-off bottom of the bottle – this will keep them fresher for longer in the fridge.
Fourthly, the cut top of a plastic bottle makes an excellent mini greenhouse for seedlings. Just plant the seeds, cover the containers with a plastic lid and place them in the window. This will protect the shoots from the cold.
Fifth, an old plastic bottle can be substituted for a sprayer for feeding houseplants with fertilizer. Fill the bottle with the fertiliser solution, put the tube in the ground near the roots and squeeze the bottle gently. This allows you to feed each plant precisely.
