Forget Airing: In Half an Hour, Your Bedding Will Be Like New

26views

It’s important to change the bedding regularly, and there’s an easy way to do it! Many people forget to wash their pillows, but this is a great opportunity to get them clean. Pillows can be breeding grounds for bacteria, so it’s important to keep them fresh. Luckily, there’s a simple way to do this quickly and effectively!

Washing pillows is a rather tedious and labor-intensive activity for many people. After all, we can’t always throw it in the washing machine. Sometimes we have to do it by hand, which at the very thought makes us quite dizzy. Fortunately, there is a much simpler and, in addition, more effective way to take care of its proper cleanliness.

Why do we rarely wash our pillows?

Many of us can’t imagine sleeping without a comfortable pillow, which is one of the most used items in the house. Our head rests on it every night for many hours. Despite the frequent changing of pillowcases, we very rarely choose to wash the pillow itself.

Not everyone knows that pillows are a real breeding ground for bacteria. Among other things, we find on it the remains of cosmetics and sebum formed during sleep. If we don’t wash them too often, it can lead to health problems such as allergies and skin diseases.

An effective way to clean pillows

The pillows we sleep with are washed extremely infrequently, which can lead to skin problems. Fortunately, there is a cleaning method that does not require water and can be used frequently. All you need to do is use baking soda. First, spread the pillow on it, rub the baking soda in with a sponge, and shake everything out after 30 minutes. Baking soda absorbs a lot of bacteria and bleaches the material, which is especially effective in feather-filled pillows.

Airing the bedding, on the other hand, is a proven way to get rid of dust mites. Whenever the weather permits, this type of activity should be a daily ritual, especially in homes with allergies. Pillowcases, on the other hand, should be washed at least once a week, preferably at 60 degrees Celsius. This is because this is the only way we are able to get rid of bacteria from them.
